A genuinely local Melbourne team
About It’s Done: Prahran’s Local Rubbish Removal Specialists
Founded by Rob McMenomy in Prahran, It’s Done is still a family-feel business that answers the phone directly.
Robert McMenomy, founder since 2008
Rob McMenomy started It’s Done Rubbish Removal from his home base in Prahran in 2008. Before that, he’d spent years working in property maintenance across Melbourne’s inner east and noticed how hard it was to find a reliable, fairly priced rubbish removal service that actually showed up when it said it would. So he started his own. The name says everything about the approach: It’s Done. You call, we come, the rubbish goes. No fuss. What started as a one-ute operation has grown into a small crew of full-time team members, all based in or around the inner east, all trained by Rob, and all held to the same standard: the job’s not done until the area is clean. Rob still takes calls directly on (03) 9820 1927. If you have a question about a job, you’re talking to the owner.
What we do with your rubbish
35,000kg
diverted from landfill every year through our Prahran-based recycling partnerships
We separate metals, timber and e-waste at our facility and send each stream to the appropriate recycling partner. Reusable items in good condition go to charity partners before anything reaches the tip. We track our diversion rate and report it in our annual sustainability count. This isn’t greenwashing. It’s the way Rob built the business from the start, because doing the right thing by the environment is good business sense in Melbourne’s inner east.

Helen D
Robert and his team did a magnificent job clearing a crowded house and five crowded sheds. Not an inch spared in any of the truck loads! Robert is a total professional and a pleasure to deal with. Note – just had Robert and the team complete another rubbish removal. This time all the waste from bathroom renovations. Same excellent service from start to finish. Very pleased.

Rob and his team completed an office strip out for us in the Melbourne CBD and did a great job. Rob is extremely personable and he kept us well informed throughout the process and we were very happy with the end result. Highly recommend It’s Done – we would engage them again for any future jobs.

Robert’s service is excellent and he is a very professional and polite person. He found old photos and memorabilia when clearing out furniture from our vacant house and saved them for us, otherwise they would have been thrown out. I definitely recommend him.
