Rubbish Removal in Ormond
Looking for reliable rubbish removal in Ormond? The Californian bungalows and Federation-style homes that make up most of the suburb tend to have side gates, narrow paths and detached garages where years of furniture and stored items pile up. A good portion of our work here is exactly that: single-visit garage clear-outs where nothing has moved in a long time, and post-renovation clean-ups as owners update these older homes. The North Road strip also brings the occasional commercial job. We’re Prahran-based and about 20 minutes from Ormond, so you always deal with a local team that turns up when it says it will.
North Road is a major road and clearway, with peak-hour kerbside rules. The old North Road level crossing is gone now, with the rail dropped into a trench and the station sitting below street level, so there are no boom-gate hold-ups. The quieter side streets are leafy and low-rise, which suits the truck. Parking around the station precinct is a bit tight, so we sort our spot first and work around the clearway times. We carry your stuff out and keep it moving.
We handle the full range of household, office and commercial rubbish in Ormond: furniture, whitegoods, mattresses, e-waste, renovation rubble, garage clear-outs and deceased estate cleanups. We lift, load and sweep up after every job, and sort for recycling wherever possible. No skips, no tip-run hassle for you.
Since 2008 we have diverted over 320,000 kg from landfill through our Prahran-based recycling and donation partnerships. Metals, timber, e-waste and reusable furniture recovered from Ormond jobs are sorted and sent to the right facilities rather than to landfill.

Rob and his colleague were efficient, friendly and very reasonably priced against all other removal providers. He was prompt to quote, organise a day and removed the items I needed gone. Highly recommend It’s Done Rubbish Removal! Thanks Rob & Mooch for the help. Nabi

Robert’s service is excellent and he is a very professional and polite person. He found old photos and memorabilia when clearing out furniture from our vacant house and saved them for us, otherwise they would have been thrown out. I definitely recommend him.

Robert and his team did a magnificent job clearing a crowded house and five crowded sheds. Not an inch spared in any of the truck loads! Robert is a total professional and a pleasure to deal with. Note – just had Robert and the team complete another rubbish removal. This time all the waste from bathroom renovations. Same excellent service from start to finish. Very pleased.

Hard Rubbish Collection in Ormond
City of Glen Eira
Ormond falls under the City of Glen Eira, which provides up to three free hard rubbish collections per household each financial year. You book online through the Glen Eira City Council website, and once confirmed the collection is scheduled for your next regular bin collection day. Items must be placed on the nature strip and cannot exceed four cubic metres total, with no single item more than two metres long or tall. Larger e-waste is accepted, but nothing with a battery or a built-in battery. Items left on driveways or private property will not be collected. If you have a large or urgent load, or items the council does not accept, It’s Done can be in Ormond when you call.
Can’t wait for the council collection?
Glen Eira hard rubbish has to be booked by 5.30pm the day before your bin day, sorted to the council’s rules and kept under 4 cubic metres. It’s Done clears Ormond rubbish when you call, with no delay and no cap on what you can put out.

Yes. Many Ormond homes are older bungalows with side gates, narrow paths and fences between the house and the nature strip. We carry items out on foot when needed and use smaller vehicles for properties with tight access.
