Rubbish Removal in South Yarra
Need a hand clearing out a place in South Yarra? Rob and the It’s Done crew are based in Prahran, only a few minutes away, and this is some of our busiest territory. The high-rise and mid-rise apartment buildings along the Chapel Street and Domain Road corridor turn over constantly, and coordinating loading dock access and lift bookings through a body corporate is something we handle as a matter of course. The Chapel Street tenancies also generate regular commercial strip-out work, and the renovations in the older low-rise blocks around Fawkner Park often come with tight stairwells and no lift. Being local and nearby means you always deal with Rob and the crew directly.
In the high-rises, access is everything. We sort out the loading dock, the lift size and the booking time with the building before we show up, and we cover the lobby and lift so nothing gets scratched. Claremont Street and Toorak Road get busy and have clearways, so we keep the kerbside loading quick. If a terrace only opens to the street with no back lane, we just carry it out the front and keep the path clear.
We handle the full range of household, office and commercial rubbish in South Yarra: furniture, whitegoods, mattresses, e-waste, renovation rubble, commercial fit-out debris and full estate clearances. We do all the lifting and loading ourselves, leave the site swept and tidy, and sort for recycling wherever possible. No skips, no hassle.
Since 2008 we have diverted over 320,000 kg from landfill through our Prahran-based recycling partnerships. Every South Yarra job includes careful sorting of metals, timber, e-waste and reusable items off to the right facilities, so your clearout is handled as responsibly as possible.

Robert and his team completed some rubbish removal at a rental property I manage. He arrived on time (the next day!), completed all rubbish removal and charged a reasonable amount. He was very professional and offered a great service 🙂

Robert and his team did a magnificent job clearing a crowded house and five crowded sheds. Not an inch spared in any of the truck loads! Robert is a total professional and a pleasure to deal with. Note – just had Robert and the team complete another rubbish removal. This time all the waste from bathroom renovations. Same excellent service from start to finish. Very pleased.

I contacted Rob first thing this morning about removing a bed and base. He was so helpful and booked in to collect the bed and some other rubbish. No fuss and extremely helpful.
Rob runs It’s Done out of Prahran, about 5 minutes from South Yarra, so you always deal with a local team that turns up when it says it will. (03) 9820 1927.
Hard Rubbish Collection in South Yarra
City of Stonnington
South Yarra is part of the City of Stonnington, which offers residents two scheduled hard waste collections each year, one in autumn and one in spring. Enter your address on the Stonnington council website to find your street’s dates. Items must weigh less than 20 kg each and the total pile cannot exceed five cubic metres. If you live in a large apartment building or on a main road, you will need to arrange a separate booking through the council, which is only available during the usual collection windows. It is a worthwhile option when your timing is flexible. If you need rubbish gone sooner, or your load does not fit the guidelines, call It’s Done and we can be there when you need us.
Can’t wait for the council collection?
Stonnington’s scheduled hard waste only runs twice a year and the timing may not suit your move or renovation. It’s Done clears South Yarra rubbish when you call, no booking window required.
