It’s Done is a Prahran-based, family-run crew, and we pull them out and haul them away across Melbourne’s inner south and east, Monday to Friday. Most jobs are done in a single visit.
You don’t need to move a thing or disconnect anything tricky. We do the lifting, get the appliance down the stairs or out of the laundry, load it, and sweep up after. There’s no trailer to hire, no straining your back, and no tip run for you.
Old appliances are mostly metal, so very little of this needs to go to landfill. We degas fridges and freezers the right way, then send the metal and parts off to be recycled. You get a fixed, upfront price before we start, and that’s what you pay.
What whitegoods we take
If it’s a big household appliance, we’ll take it. The usual ones:
Working or broken, one item or a whole kitchen, it doesn’t matter. The only things we can’t take are hazardous waste and gas bottles. Everything else gets sorted back at our yard, with the metal recycled and fridges degassed before disposal.

We turn up at a time that suits you, Monday to Friday or weekends by arrangement, with the crew to do the whole lift. Fridge in an upstairs flat, washer wedged in a laundry, oven out of the kitchen, we carry it all out so you don’t touch a thing.

Once it’s loaded we sweep up and you pay the price we quoted, nothing more. Back at the yard we degas the fridges and freezers and send the metal off to be recycled, so very little ends up in landfill.
